Chris Grottick

Chris is an award winning artist / filmmaker with over 10 years of public projection experience.

His video art has been shown alongside Turner prize winning artists in a diverse range of spaces as well as galleries, including a public park in London, alongside the Grand Canal in Venice, as the finale of the Big Chill Music Festival in Dorset and even in a desert in the United Arab Emirates as part of the Sharjah Art Biennale.

Chris’ projects actively encourage direct participation from the general public in an attempt to blur the boundaries between ‘artist’ and ‘audience’. His work has been included in a Channel 4 documentary about artists and animation, he has been awarded funding from the Arts Council of Great Britain and most recently Film London for his short documentary ‘Pigeon English.’

Giles Thacker

Giles specializes in creating site specific designs and content for live events and installations and has been pushing the boundaries of moving image design for over 20 years.

He is experienced in designing and operating complex video installations for large scale events. He was video designer with the band Orbital performing over 200 live shows, from Glastonbury main stage to the Albert Hall. He has vision mixed for the giant Edinburgh Hogmanay street parties, at's global conferences and for the BBC2 Romeo and Juliet docudrama.

Giles has created content for corporate launch spectaculars for Nike and JCB, idents for Nickelodeon and Canal+ and has recently overseen numerous video mapping installations as head of motion graphics for Drive Productions, for clients such as Lotus, Nokia, , Bentley and Ferrariworld.

Kate Laird

Kate Laird is a freelance creative producer and arts consultant who has worked across many arts genres in the last 16 years developing a specialism in combined arts and theatre.

Alongside being Creative Producer here at Shared Space and Light she also has a development and Producer role with immersive theatre company ‘Copperdollar’.

Kate has an in-depth knowledge of the combined arts and carnival sector having worked at regional and national level within Combined Arts and Theatre for Arts Council England, developing policy around these areas and assessing work of the combined arts portfolio.
